Care and Print Quality

Care and Print Quality

Our designs are engraved line work, which is finer than the average printed graphic. Treated properly it stays crisp for years. Treated badly it will crack, and that is not covered by the refund policy — so here is how to keep it.

Washing

  • Turn it inside out before washing. This one habit matters more than everything else here.
  • Wash cold, on a gentle cycle.
  • Tumble dry low, or hang dry. High heat is what cracks a print.
  • Wash with similar colors. Do not use bleach or fabric softener — softener coats fibers and dulls the ink.

Ironing

Never iron directly on the print. Turn the garment inside out and iron the back of the design, or place a cloth over it. A hot iron on the ink will ruin it in seconds.

Footwear

Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not put them in a washing machine and do not put them in a dryer. Air dry away from direct heat.

Mugs

Dishwasher safe on a normal cycle. Not microwave safe if there is any metallic finish. Hand washing will always keep the print looking newer, longer.

What is normal, and what is a defect

Normal: print placement varying up to about half an inch between individual items; a very slight texture where ink meets fabric; color reading a little different than your screen; a faint pressing mark that disappears after the first wash.

A defect, and we will replace it: cracked or peeling ink on arrival; missing or cut-off sections of the design; wrong design or wrong size than ordered; visibly crooked printing; holes or seam failures.

If you are not sure which you have, send a photo and we will tell you honestly.
